Volunteering is a great way to meet other GCMS families and support our school. If you'd like to help us plan or help with any of the following teams this next school year, please fill out our Volunteer Interest Survey.
BOARD SECRETARY
This position would attend our meetings and take notes for our records and to share with our community. Meetings take place bi-monthly in the evenings and monthly on the 2nd Thursday of the month in the morning.
COMMUNICATIONS
The PTO's avenues of communications include weekly eNews submissions, Facebook and Instagram posts, targeted email campaigns, and our website. We would welcome assistance with any and all communication options.
SABERCAT FUND 4 OUTDOOR FUN COMMITTEE
The PTO is has opened a capital campaign to expand the playground at Glacier Creek Middle School. This will be a large scale community effort and we'd love for more parents to join our team. Help us reach out to community families and businesses to reach our goal.
STAFF APPRECIATION
This person or team organizes simple events or gestures to show gratitude & appreciation of our hard-working Glacier Creek Staff! This is a great position for a creative person who can work with a budget and set up Sign Ups. :) Examples of past events include refreshments during November/March conferences, Bus Driver Appreciation (Feb), Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week activities (May) and gift card drive. Let us know if you'd like to help with staff appreciation!
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR CO-CHAIRPERSON
Partner with our current Book Fair Chair and the LMC Specialist to run Scholastic Book Fairs. Book Fairs are usually held 2-3 times per year (November, March, sometimes May). Book Fairs are a fun opportunity for our students to choose quality books that interest them, while our share of proceeds go back into GCMS and classroom libraries.
EVENTS
The GCMS PTO does not currently have plans for events for the upcoming school year, but would love to add some. If you are interested in coordinating and planning some social events for our community, please let us know!
RESTAURANT SHARE NIGHTS CO-CHAIRPERSON
Restaurant Share Nights would be a great opportunity to raise funds and encourage the gathering of our school community. If you are willing to coordinate these nights, please let us know.
