Science has shown that play is very productive for humans at any age; we need play to keep our brains flexible, ward off depression, sustain optimism, and sharpen our social-emotional skills.”

With the generous support of our community and sponsors, installation of Phase One was complete by October 2025!

The completed phase of our project is shown below.  This new fully inclusive play section allows children of all needs and abilities to play together in one area and includes the following:

Rev8 - a large climber/spinner that accommodates up to 20 students at a time

Inclusive spinner - ground level spinner that provides wheelchair accessibility and quick and easy spinning

Aro Spinning Chair - a single spinner with arm rests and full back support

Hand cycle - for seated use or wheelchair access on the opposite side

Cirque drums - for sensory play

Inclusive Gaga Ball Pit - with removable panel for full accessibility

To provide access to the new components, the existing ADA pathway was extended to reach the new section, and 1400 square feet of Poured-In-Place Surfacing was installed to allow wheelchair accessibility and to provide a more stable surface for those who struggle with balance on uneven surfaces.

Fundraising is currently open for Phase Two, shown below.  Installation will happen when funding allows, but the target time for installation is summer of 2026.

Phase 2 - Nucleus Climbing Structure

The “nucleus modular structure” includes 11 play structures (climbing, balancing, and overhead components) which are connected in a way to encourage use as an Obstacle Course akin to ninja warrior style structures.  The lay-out was chosen as it accommodated the most number of structures in the space we have available.
